Psema means lie in Greek; Alithia, its most intimate room, means truth.
The Psema Suite is in the old town of Muro Leccese, in the heart of Salento, just 15 km from the sea and the beaches of Otranto, Santa Cesarea Terme and Castro. It is a single apartment that welcomes 2 to 6 guests.
The rooms are set among round arches, barrel vaults and a precious 1500s fireplace, elements typical of Salento that bear witness to how the palace evolved over the centuries.
The heart of the suite is an open space of three areas: a bright, welcoming living room with a kitchenette; a hallway with a 17th-century wooden ceiling, which becomes a double room or a twin room with single beds; and the master bedroom on the olive-wood mezzanine, a romantic nest under the barrel roof. The bathroom has a large waterfall shower lined in Albanian natural stone.
The suite also includes Alithia, a “very cozy” double bedroom under the Lecce-stone vault, with a second well-equipped kitchenette and its own bathroom lined in Palladian pebbles, the shower tucked under the pillar of an old balcony, a witness to the original structure. It overlooks a little green square behind the Palazzo del Principe, a few metres from Piazza del Popolo.
Private entrance, air conditioning, two kitchenettes with hob, fridge, microwave and utensils, washing machine, safe, flat-screen TV and a welcome chocolate for our guests.
