Charming Houses
Two historic Lecce-stone residences in the heart of Muro Leccese, a few kilometres from the sea at Otranto, Santa Cesarea and Castro.
A welcome that makes you feel at home
In the heart of Salento, in Muro Leccese, Le Dimore di Hanqorias are small historic residences that let you experience your stay through the seasons of an ancient story, in a land rich in culture, art and folk traditions, where still-natural scents blend with genuine flavours, bold and delicate alike.
Round arches, barrel vaults, cane-and-plaster roofs and ancient hearths from the 16th and 17th centuries: restored and furnished with restraint and an eye for detail, our residences combine old and new to offer you the utmost comfort.

Hanqorias, the Aphrodite of the Messapians
Our name comes from the Messapic language: Hanqorias was what the Messapians called Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty. The residences instead bear Greek names: Psema, the lie, which holds Alithia, the truth, within it; and Elià, the 17th-century courtyard house.
Our storyMuro Leccese, between the Messapians and the Baroque
One of the oldest towns in Salento: Bronze Age menhirs, Messapic walls, the Byzantine church of Santa Marina and Piazza del Popolo, a little jewel box of Lecce stone a few steps from the residences.

In our guests’ words
Everything was perfect. Very warm welcome and total helpfulness from the owners. Impeccable cleanliness, a welcoming place that has been really well restored. We will definitely be back because it feels like home!
Adriana and Mario were one of a kind, extremely friendly, and superb hosts! We had a wonderful stay in Muro Leccese, a central location to visit Lecce, Gallipoli, the lighthouse at the south point, Otranto, and all the beautiful beaches along the Adriatic and Ionian Sea. They really made us feel like home.
The apartment is very beautiful and clean, in a quiet old town that is perfectly placed for reaching the beaches of Salento. Special mention for the host, who is very kind and down-to-earth. We would definitely go back.
